Volunteer Board of Directors Opportunity
Community Care of West Niagara is currently seeking new Volunteer Board Members to join our Board of Directors!
As a Board Member, you will provide strategic oversight, uphold our mission and vision and serve as active advocates in the community.
About CCWN:
Vision: Growing our Community Beyond Hunger
Mission: We exist to provide essential services and support to families and individuals in Lincoln who are facing economic hardship. Our goal is to bridge the journey of our vulnerable as they strive to restore balance and self-sufficiency.
CCWN is a registered charitable non-profit organization that has been serving Lincoln and surrounding communities since 1967. The people that we serve come from all walks of life and have experienced financial difficulties due to job loss, illness or other hardships.
Our food bank has a broad spectrum of food items representing each element required for a healthy, balanced diet. CCWN also offers other programming such as Eviction & Housing Loss Prevention, Income Tax Preparation, Holiday Hampers and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide CCWN's long-term vision, advance our mission and promote organizational growth
- Oversee the performance of the Executive Director
- Ensure financial integrity, legal compliance and adherence to bylaws
- Serve as an ambassador in our community and attend fundraising events
- Attend and actively participate in monthly board meetings and committee efforts
